Rule of Seconds interlaces the extraordinary lives of four generations of women in one family in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. The story follows 26-year-old Shiela as she digs into her past and that of her family as she tries to understand the cause of her epilepsy.
Spanning from the 1920s to the present day, Rule of Seconds focuses on the unconventional life of Shiela’s great grandmother who owned a three-storey boarding house and ran an illegal speakeasy in the basement.
